Tioconazole (65899-73-2) is an antifungal medication used for the local treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis and occasionally for other fungal and yeast infections. Tioconazole inhibits ergosterol synthesis by interacting with 14-alpha demethylase, resulting in increased membrane permeability.
